Comprehensive Gut Check Bundle – Terms & Conditions

About the bundle
The Comprehensive Gut Check Bundle includes one SIBO breath test, one faecal calprotectin test, one faecal pancreatic elastase test, one H. pylori stool antigen test and one bowel cancer screening (FIT) test. Each investigation is reported separately.
Who can use the bundle?
The minimum age for the Comprehensive Gut Check Bundle is 16 years old. If the patient is under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the required consent form. Contact GastroLife before purchase if you have diabetes. Follow the suitability requirements in each test’s instructions.
Order details and delivery
An email confirmation of your order details will be sent after purchase. You are responsible for checking these details and advising GastroLife of errors before shipment. The bundle can be shipped to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. See the Shipping Rates page for delivery charges.
Preparation and sample collection
Read and follow the separate instructions for all five tests before collecting any samples. Preparation requirements differ between tests. Do not discontinue any prescribed medication without consulting your General Practitioner. Samples are collected in the patient’s own home, not at GastroLife clinics.
Patient details and consent
Complete all required patient details, consent forms and laboratory request forms, and return them with the correct samples. Incorrect or incomplete information, incorrect collection or delayed return may prevent analysis.
Returning SIBO breath samples
Return completed SIBO samples to GastroLife as soon as possible after testing, following the supplied instructions. The patient pays the return postage for the SIBO kit; registered post is recommended.
Returning stool samples
Return stool samples directly to the laboratory in the supplied prepaid packaging, following each test’s instructions. Do not post or deliver stool samples to GastroLife clinics. Collect and post H. pylori samples on Monday or Tuesday only. Collect and post calprotectin and elastase samples on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday only. Post these samples on the day of collection. Return FIT samples on the day of collection using the prepaid envelope.
Replacement kits and analysis
You must follow all test instructions contained in your kit. For example, you must include a completed consent form and label your sample tube as instructed. If the completed consent form is not included or the sample tube is not labelled, the laboratory will reject your sample.

A replacement stool-test kit costs €19.95 per individual stool test. Replacement SIBO kits are quoted separately; contact GastroLife for the applicable charge. The bundle includes analysis of one correctly collected sample or sample set for each of its five investigations. Purchasing replacement collection materials does not include an additional analysis. These charges do not limit your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged or supplied incorrectly.
Results
Allow up to one week for SIBO results from receipt of samples by GastroLife. Stool-test results take approximately 7–10 working days from laboratory receipt. Timings apply to each investigation separately. Incorrect sample collection or delays in returning samples may affect analysis and reporting.
Reviewing results
GastroLife is a testing centre only; medical treatment and advice are not provided. Review your results with your GP, consultant or dietitian. FIT is a screening test and is not a diagnostic test for colon cancer. If your FIT result is negative and you have symptoms, see your GP for medical advice.
Cancellations, refunds and statutory rights
If you wish to cancel, contact GastroLife as soon as possible. Cancellation requests, refunds and any applicable charges are addressed in the Refund Policy and Right of Withdrawal Requests policy. Nothing in these bundle terms limits your statutory consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.
Communication and questions
Communication regarding your tests is sent by email. Documentation is issued in encrypted/password-protected PDF format.
