Below is a list of instructions that should be adhered to prior to your Helicobacter Pylori Stool Antigen Test.

NO antibiotics for four weeks before sample collection.

NO Proton Pump Inhibitors for 14 days, examples include:

Omeprazole (Losec)
Esomeprazole (Nexium)
Lansoprazole (Zoton)
Pantoprazole (Protium)
Rabeprazole (pariet)

NO H2 Antagonists for 3-4 days, examples include:

Cimetidine (tagamet, Dyspamet)
Famotidine (Pepcid)
Nizatidine (Axid)
Ranitidine (Zantac)
Ranitidine bismuth citrate (Pylorid)

DO NOT discontinue any prescribed medication without consulting with your General Practitioner.
