Helicobacter Pylori Stool Antigen Test - Test Instructions

Below is a list of instructions that should be adhered to prior to your Helicobacter Pylori Stool Antigen Test.

• NO antibiotics for four weeks before sample collection.

• NO Proton Pump Inhibitors for 14 days, examples include:
o Omeprazole (Losec)
o Esomeprazole (Nexium)
o Lansoprazole (Zoton)
o Pantoprazole (Protium)
o Rabeprazole (pariet)

• NO H2 Antagonists for 3-4 days, examples include:
o Cimetidine (tagamet, Dyspamet)
o Famotidine (Pepcid)
o Nizatidine (Axid)
o Ranitidine (Zantac)
o Ranitidine bismuth citrate (Pylorid)

• DO NOT discontinue any prescribed medication without consulting with your General Practitioner.
